Division 4: Open to children age (Under) U4 to U10 years
Division 3: Open to children U11 to U17 years (Requires travel)
For Division 4, this means this is an intraclub league. No traveling is required.
For Division 3, this is a interclub format with teams from surrounding areas. Requires travel.
- the use of tryouts, invitations, recruiting, or any similar process to roster players to any team on the basis of talent or ability is prohibited;
- (the club administering the league accepts as participants in the league any eligible youths (subject to reasonable terms on registration)
- a system or rostering players is used to establish a fair or balanced distribution of playing talent among all teams participating; and
- league rules require that each player must play at least one-half of each game except for reasons of injury, illness, or discipline.
Recreational Soccer is the program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players. For the younger players, without the emphasis on travel or high level competition.
A couple things to note about Recreational Soccer:
- The coaches are volunteers. And so are generally less experienced than Certified Coaches of the competitive teams. Many parents that volunteer coach, move up as their child moves up, in order to continue coaching their team.
- U4 to U10 intraclub games are only played on Saturday mornings. No makeup games required. It is optional, and up to the coach and parents to reschedule any rainout games.
- U12 (Div 3) games are played on Saturday and some Sundays. Makeup games are required.
- It is only a single season commitment (Fall & Spring). You must re-sign up at each season.

*Non-Refundable additional Late Registration Fee of $25 applies after June 30th. Space not guaranteed on late registrations. If no space at time of late registration, your child is put on a waitlist, which may or may not clear until one week into season. If no space opens up, then a refund will be processed, less the $25 non-refundable late fee. BYSO is not responsible for pro-rated refunds on any missed games for late registrants that go on a waiting list.
